Why she might be annoying:

She had little time for a normal childhood, beginning her gymnastics career at age 6.
Because of her name she was confused with fellow 1996 Olympic teammate Dominique Moceanu.
She was used by Prince as nothing more than 'gymnastic eye candy' in his video of the Stylistics remake 'Betcha By Golly Wow.'
She retired in 1998, then unretired and made the 2000 U.S. Olympic team. However, she did not win any medals.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was the prom queen at her high school prom (Gaithersburg High School - 1994).
She is the only member of the 'Magnificent 7' 1996 U.S. woman's Olympic gold medal winning team to also compete in the 1992 and 2000 Olympics.
She is a four-time World Championships medalist.
Since 1963 she has won more national championships than any other amateur athlete, male or female (15).
She graduated the University of Maryland.
She performed in 'Grease' on Broadway.
She is a gymnastic spokesperson for 'GoGirlGo,' a woman's sports foundation, helping with operations and giving motivational speeches to girls about empowerment.
She gives private gymnastic lessons at her home gym.
