    He claimed he did not agree with the IHR but respected their right to question historical documents (dude, they're a bunch of anti-Semites, OK?).

    He opposed the Vietnam War.
    He served in the Navy and the Marines.
    He received the Navy Cross, the Silver Star, and two Purple Hearts.
    He said of George W. Bush's administration: 'Nixon was a prince compared to these guys.'
    He co-founded Earth Day.
