Ires found his TV concepts both expensive and out there.

Until he took over at Yahoo!, he knew very little about computers.

Why he might not be annoying:

He lost a golf bet to Larry David, giving Larry carte blanche to use his name on 'Seinfeld.'
His full name was used about 80 times in the 'Seinfeld' episode 'Serenity Now' as George's childhood nemesis who competes to sell the most computers. His name was also used as an assistant to the mayor in a different episode.
He said: 'The character was so great. He was very handsome; you have to admit he was very handsome. He was also, by the way, insane. I mean, literally, he was a psychopath. And, they did two more episodes with that character.'
He does a decent impression of Larry David.
He was Howard Stern and Larry David's lawyer.
He green lighted for ABC, 'Lost,' 'Desperate Housewives,' 'Alias,' 'Grey's Anatomy,' and 'Extreme Makeover.'

He says the difference between the Internet and TV is the internet is not 'fighting the needs and desires of the audience ... totally taps into it.'
He was profiled by the New York Times (September 24, 2005).
'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' executive producer Michael Davies told the NY Times: 'Lloyd has no creative restraint whatsoever. He is almost creatively reckless.'
He said: 'People want the freedom to do exactly what they want to do.'
