Football Player

The Resume

    (August 20, 1994- )
    Born in Mentor, Ohio
Drafted second overall by the Chicago Bears in the 2017 NFL Draft
    Quarterback for the Chicago Bears
Attended the University of North Carolina (2014-16)

Why he might be annoying:

He opted to forego his senior season at North Carolina to enter the NFL Draft.
Some football pundits felt the Bears gave up a king's ransom to move up to draft him second overall.
He went 4-8 as the Bears starting quarterback during his rookie season.
    His nickname is 'Mr. Biscuit.'
Many Bears fans initially questioned the team's decision to draft him, thinking he was unable to end the team's rotating quarterback carousel.

Why he might not be annoying:

He brought energy to the Bears quarterbacking position that had been lacking since the days of Jim McMahon.
He set a new Bears franchise record for quarterback rushing yards in his rookie season.
He threw six touchdown passes in a single game, nearly eclipsing a Bears franchise record (2018).
He surpassed Doug Flutie as the youngest quarterback in the history of the Bears franchise to record a touchdown pass.
His play in his first year as the Bears full-time starter ended skepticism amongst the team's fan base, as they slowly warmed up to him being the team's franchise quarterback.
