    She was a showgirl at the Copacabana Club in NYC where she performed before gangsters.
    She said she felt 'spooked' on the set of 'Carnival of Souls.'
    She was once married to a soap opera star.
    She mocked the 1998 remake of "Carnival of Souls,' saying people should be paid not to see it.
    She grew up during the Depression in the Midwest.
    She studied at Lee Strasberg's Actors Studio.
    She was virtually unknown until late night TV and cheap DVDs made 'Carnival of Souls' a cult classic.
    Variety Magazine said a 'sort of misty quality about her does creditably as the lovely soul without a heart.'
