    She was the youngest person to star in a TV series with her own name - 'The Patty Duke Show' (16).
    She was upset that they marketed the clothing from her Patty Duke show, she thought it was awful that other young girls would wear thus ugly styles.
    She had an bad childhood, with adults forcing her to perform rather than letting her grow up normally.
    When she was a youth, her husband and wife agent team, trapped her in a bed and began fondling her, she got scared and threw up, and the incident ended.
    She is active in fighting against AIDS and for nuclear disarmament.
    She participated in the defeated Equal Rights Amendment.
