Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

His career was hampered by back problems.
He sparked a controversy in the OHL when he refused to report to Peterborough upon being drafted by the team, threatening to sue the league for revoking his territorial exemption status.
The team responded by trading his draft rights to his preferred destination of Kitchener in order to prevent the litigation suit from occurring.
He was traded from the Flames at the start of the 1988-89 season, which caused him to miss out on being part of the Stanley Cup championship team.
He was considered a liability on the Flames blueline in later years, which played a factor in the team's decision to trade him.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a member of the Flames teams that played both the last season in Atlanta and the first season in Calgary.
He managed to play at a high level, despite struggling with chronic back issues.
He earned two bronze medals for Canada in the World Hockey Championship (1982, 1983).
He made wise investments with his money during his career and served as a financial advisor to many young players entering the NHL ranks.
He was a versatile player, occasionally playing forward when called upon.
