Why he might be annoying:

    He said about his nickname, ‘Chumpy,’ ‘I probably should have grown out of it at some stage.’
    He continued to receive funding from the Australian Olympics Committee despite training with his own coaches separately from the rest of the Australian team.
    Other athletes complained about preferential treatment of Pullin, leading to a feud that was exposed to the public when he refused to congratulate fellow Australian Jarryd Hughes when Hughes won the silver medal in snowboard cross (2018).
    He fronted a reggae band called Love Charli.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He began skiing at age three and snowboarding at eight.
    He was also an avid surfer.
    He was the flagbearer for the Australian Olympic team at Sochi (2014).
    He called snowboard cross ‘the most pure form of competition.’
