    Despite Manchester and Nashua being larger cities, Concord is the state capital.

    It was involved in a land claims dispute with the neighboring town of Bow (1733).
    Despite being a historical city, it is virtually unknown to tourists.
    It is one of the New England region's historical cities.
    Former U.S. President Franklin Pierce was born here.
    The Christa McAuliffe Planetarium is named after the late resident and school teacher who was killed in the Challenger disaster.
    It has a lot of beautiful scenery.
