Why they might be annoying:

They had a revolving door line-up, with different personnel on each of their first six albums.
Their greatest American success came when 'Rising for the Moon' peaked at #143 on the Billboard album chart.
In the mid-70s, their record label paid them to not make records and terminated their contract.

They were pioneers of British folk rock.
Several members joined Jethro Tull.
Their 'Liege and Lief' was voted best folk album ever by BBC Radio 2 listeners (2002).
The band held a benefit concert to pay for a lung transplant for former member Dave Swarbrick (2004).
