Drafted 73rd overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft
Played for the Los Angeles Kings (1981-90), New York Rangers (1990-91), Edmonton Oilers (1991-93), New Jersey Devils (1993-94), Chicago Blackhawks (1994-96) and the San Jose Sharks (1996-99)

Why he might be annoying:

He is divorced.
Despite being a scorer in L. A., his accolades were overshadowed by those of Luc Robitaille, and Wayne Gretzky later on.
He became a journeyman player after leaving the Kings.
He spent the final seasons of his career on a poor Sharks team.
He was traded twice during a three year pan between 1991 and 1993.

He, along with Luc Robitaille, was considered the lone offensive threats for the Kings, prior to the arrival of Gretzky.
He was one of the key pieces of the trade that sent Mark Messier to the Rangers.
He is one of eight players in NHL history to record a 70 goal season.
He lost his oldest son, six days before the latter's first birthday.
