Hockey Player

The Resume

    (November 24, 1998- )
    Born in Anchorage, Alaska
Drafted 111th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft
    Goaltender for the Boston Bruins
William M. Jennings Trophy winner (2023 with Linus Ullmark)

Why he might be annoying:

    His nickname is ‘Sway.’
He was considered to be a hotshot early in his career by hockey pundits.
He opted to skip his senior year at the University of Maine to turn pro.
He enjoys golfing and fishing in his spare time.
He and Linus Ullmark began a post-game victory tradition that saw the two goalies bend down and open their arms up, before embracing one another.

Why he might not be annoying:

His decision to attend the University of Maine wasn’t based on guaranteed playing time, but rather a shared love of the outdoors with the program’s coach, Red Gendron.
He earned the Hockey East Outstanding Player of the Year award in his final season at the University of Maine (2019-20).
He and Linus Ullmark proved to be a capable goaltender duo for the Bruins in wake of the departures of both Tuukka Rask (retirement) and Jaroslav Halak (free agency) in 2021.
He and Linus were the first Bruins goaltending duo since Andy Moog and Rejean Lemelin to win the William M. Jennings Trophy (2023).
He played well in relief of Linus in the Bruins Game 7 loss to the Florida Panthers, despite not playing for the entirety of the series.
