Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He was brought up by the Blues during the 1992-93 season, for the sole purpose of getting exposed in the 1993 Expansion Draft.
He posted a losing record in five of his eight seasons as the Mighty Ducks starting goalie.
He never got past the second round of the playoffs during his career.
His inconsistency in the later seasons prompted the team to trade for Jéan-Sebastien Giguère, who would later supplant him as the team's starter.
His Mighty Ducks career ended unceremoniously, as he was placed on waivers, following the team's acquisition of Steve Shields (2001).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first player selected in the 1993 NHL Expansion Draft.
He took advantage of the opportunity to be a starting goaltender upon being taken by the Mighty Ducks.
As of 2020, he ranks among the top 3 in many of the Ducks goaltending franchise records.
He guided the Mighty Ducks to the franchise's first ever playoff appearance and playoff series victory (1997).
His brief stint with the Rangers allowed him to finish his career in his home state of New York.
