She was a one-hit wonder twice.
She fakes an orgasm on 'Pillow Talk.'
There was also an 80's country singer known as Sylvia, which may have confused record buyers.
She recorded a rap act featuring her son Joey.
She didn't initially give a writing credit on 'Rapper's Delight' to Chic's Bernard Edwards and Nile Rogers, even though the song was based on their hit 'Good Times.'

She has been married to Joe Robinson for over 40 years.
