The Resume

    (October 31, 1963- )
Born in Shawville, Quebec , Canada
General manager of the Buffalo Sabres (2014-2017)
Assistant general manager for the Ottawa Senators (2007-2014)

Why he might be annoying:

He made a lot of questionable trades during his tenure as Sabres general manager.
He pouted to the media, after the Sabres lost the 2015 Draft Lottery, which cost them the chance to draft Connor McDavid.
He made some bizarre comments in regards to Jack Eichel, when he told a reporter 'He certainly won't get his pee pee slapped by me for being a little more outspoken.'
Some hockey pundits felt both he and Dan Bylsma were casualties of Jack Eichel's demands to improve the team.
He got involved in the NHL through nepotism as both his uncles worked in the league for various teams.
He came off as talking more like a fan then a general manager when talking to the media in regards to contracts and draft preparation.
He holds the Sabres franchise record for shortest tenure as the team's general manager.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the nephew of both longtime NHL personnel Bryan and Terry Murray.
He served as a scout for various teams, prior to landing the general manager job in Buffalo.
He, along with his uncles were inducted into the Shawville Hockey Wall of Fame's inaugural class.
He wasn't afraid to say what was on his mind to the media (other then frequently using the term 'pee pee slapped').
