    His second (and last) Broadway play, 'The Night Circus,' closed after just seven performances (1958).
    He looked like a walrus.
    He was typecast in movies as mafiosi.
    He got drunk at lunch before the filming of his Senate Committee hearing scene in 'The Godfather Part II' and had to be sobered up between takes.

    He was married to Grace Gazzo for 50 years until his death.

    He was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his 'Godfather Part II' performance.
