    Born in Fort Pierce, Florida
Pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals (1999-2001)
Outfielder for the St. Louis Cardinals (2004, 2007-2009), Kansas City Royals (2010), Atlanta Braves (2010) and Washington Nationals
Career pitching record was 13 wins and 10 losses.
He was over-hyped as a prospect.
He struggled with control problems during the 2000 NLDS.
His control problems continued for the next couple years.
In addition, he also struggled with injuries.
It is believed that he was using steroids to help him make the transition from pitcher to fielder.
He was a top rated pitching prospect in high school.
He defied the odds and made the Cardinals roster on Opening Day (2007).
After struggling with control issues, he relinquished pitching and voluntarily elected to play the outfield.
Prior to his steroid allegations, he was dubbed 'The Natural' as a result of his quickness to adapt to playing outfield.
