Murderer

The Resume

    (January 23, 1932-January 11, 1957)
    Born in Denver, Colorado
Planted a dynamite bomb in the luggage of his mother, Daisie King
Explosion destroyed United Airlines Flight 629, killing all 39 passengers and 5 crew members (November 1, 1955)
Executed in the Colorado State Penitentiary gas chamber

Why he might be annoying:

During a single year of service in the Coast Guard (1948-49), he went AWOL a total of 63 days.
When a cop tried to arrest him for illegally transporting alcohol, he fled, eventually crashing into a police roadblock, injuring several officers (September 11, 1951).
He was busted for stealing payroll checks from his job, forging the company president's signature and cashing them, but was sentenced to probation when his mother paid restitution to the company (1952).
He took out $40,000 in insurance policies on his mother's life; they were worthless because she never signed them.
When the FBI questioned him, he said his mother had packed her own luggage, but his wife mentioned that he had given a wrapped Christmas present to his mother just before the flight.
Shortly before his execution he said, 'As far as feeling remorse for these people, I don't. I can't help it. Everybody pays their way and takes their chances. That's just the way it goes.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He lived in foster homes from age three, when his father died, until age 13, when his mother remarried.
His trial was the first one in America to be televised.
After the death sentence was handed down, he said 'I accept the verdict of the jury and desire that it be carried out with all convenient speed.'
When death penalty opponents tried to file an appeal on his behalf, he replied, 'I don't see why they should have to make a political rally or something out of this.'
