Baseball Player

The Resume

    (February 15, 1977- )
Shortstop for Florida Marlins (1998-2005) and Boston Red Sox (2006- )

Why he might be annoying:

He is confused with Alex S. Gonzalez of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
He pitched in a couple games during the 1999 season despite the fact his natural position is shortstop.
He struck out a lot the first few seasons of his career.

Why he might not be annoying:

Unlike the other Alex Gonzalez, his career numbers have steadily improved over the years.
He made his debut during the Marlins 54-108 season in 1998 and was part of a core group of players that were instrumental in their 2003 World Series victory.
He is the Marlins' leader in home runs and runs batted in by a shortstop in a single season (2004).
