Why he might be annoying:

He shares his name with a Major League Baseball general manager.
The Clippers lost in a game to Philadelphia 76ers during the time he played his 845th straight game at it surpassed Johnny Kerr's consecutive games played record (November 1982).
He took the Braves to the playoffs three times and lost in the NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals in each appearance.
He made one All-NBA Second selection, but never on a First Team.
He spent most later years of his NBA playing career in losing teams before retiring with a playoff spot clinching Hawks team.

He was awarded All-American honors in soccer, basketball and track and field in college.
During his final All-Star Game appearance, he recorded 7 rebounds, 6 assists and with 29 points scored resulted him to win the All-Star Game MVP Award.
He established the Braves records for most steals in one season with 203 and most steals in one game with 8.
He entertained crowds with his reverse dunks as he was an electrifying player.
He retired from his playing career as one of NBA's career steals leaders with 1,403.
He held the NBA's all-time consecutive games played record for 14 years until A.C. Green surpassed it in the 1997-98 season.
