She married a man named Cleo at 17, on Valentine's Day (1921).
She birthed 7 children.
Her last child was born out of wedlock.
The iconic photo made her children ashamed they lived in such poverty.
She was angered that she got no money from the picture.

Why she might not be annoying:

Dorothea Lange received no royalties from the picture's distribution.
The photos were snapped for the government and as such considered public domain.
The dire image, taken at a pea-picker camp, caused the government to send 20,000 pounds of food to the location.
In 1998, 'Migrant Mother' image was placed on a stamp in the 'Celebrate the Century' series featuring the 1930s.
