As of 2009 none of his works have been filmed.
He passed away from heart disease before finishing the Wheel of Time series and they had to be finished by another writer.
The Wheel of Time series has a lot of unnecessary plotlines and twists and way too many characters.

His wife was his editor when they were both working for Tor Publishing.
He won the Bronze Star and Distinguished Flying Cross as a helicopter gunner in Vietnam.
After Vietnam, he attended college and became a nuclear engineer for the US Navy.
The Wheel of Time series is one of the most complex, well thought out, and planned series in fantasy/sci-fi history. The inspiration for it includes European and Asian mythology and Tolstoy's War and Peace.
He also wrote seven new Conan the Barbarian novels.
He looked a little bit like Hank Williams, Jr.
