The Resume

    (September 27, 1792-February 1, 1878)
Illustrated several works of Charles Dickens, including 'Oliver Twist (1838)'

Why he might be annoying:

He couldn't draw pretty girls, dogs or horses.
One critic wrote: 'A large proportion of his work is astonishingly bad, and reveals a perfectly astounding lack of technical skill in a professional artist.'
    He was a drunk.
When he finally quit drinking, he became a fanatical teetotaler, which annoyed Dickens.
After Dickens died, he claimed he wrote 'Oliver Twist' himself (which is a crock).
He spent years working on a painting so huge that it can't be displayed anywhere.
