He filed bankruptcy at the age of 23.
He filed for bankruptcy again in July 1999.
A former employee of his, published his home phone number, Social Security number and home address on a rip-off rebuttal web site.
He is one of the first infomercial kings.
He was arrested for failing to show at an arraignment where he was charged with 41 counts of conspiracy and fraud (June 22, 2011).

Why he might not be annoying:

He obtained model/actress, Cindy Margolis, to endorse his money making product.
He treated his employees very well by giving them huge bonuses.
There are many copy-cat money making infomercial products.
