Boxer

The Resume

    (February 27, 1958- )
    Born in Columbus, Mississippi
Gold medal winning member of the United States Olympic boxing team
Professional boxing record of seventeen wins with two losses
World Super-Bantamweight champion from April to August of 1980

Why he might be annoying:

He retired suddenly after making one single unsuccessful defense of of his world title.
Like most professional boxers, he didn't handle his money well and ended up driving a bus for a living.
    That seventies' afro!
He had a bland personality and fighting style which kept him the least well-known of the 1976 American Olympic boxing team's gold medal winners.
His management team did a terrible job of promoting him.

Why he might not be annoying:

He had a near perfect all around fighting style that served him particularly well as an amateur.
He was a pretty good puncher and had an excellent chin and was never down in the ring as a pro.
    He was an engaging interview.
He stayed and still stays out of trouble out of the ring.
