Why he might be annoying:

    He was overshadowed by Dan Wilson in Seattle.
    He spent most of his career as a backup.
    He got into a brawl with Paul O'Neill in a game against the New York Yankees which caused a 10 minute delay with cleared benches and bullpens (August 28, 1996).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He played for the silver medal winning U.S. team along with Mark McGwire, Barry Larkin and Will Clark at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
    Mariners fans referred him as a cult hero as he ended Paul O'Neill's argument with an umpire.
    He was the namesake for the Marzano Baseball Academy.
    After his playing career was done, he took up a career as a sports reporter.
