Ventriloquist

The Resume

    (July 11, 1949- )
    Born in Lubbock, Texas
Portrayed Chuck (and Bob) Campbell on Soap
Appeared on Broadway in 'Jay Johnson: The Two and Only' (2007)

Why he might be annoying:

He (and one of his puppets) hosted the short-lived game show 'Celebrity Charades.' (1979)
On his first date with his future wife, he imitated a siren and made her think they were being pulled over.
He refers to ventriloquist's dummies by the politically correct 'wooden Americans.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He was so convincing a ventriloquist that the soundman on 'Soap' would move the boom mic over Bob's head.
His original Bob dummy became part of the Smithsonian's collection of pop culture icons.
He became the first ventriloquist to win a Tony when 'The Two and Only' was named 'Best Special Theatrical Event.'
