Why he might be annoying:

He was very sexually active during his twenties and his escapades included a bout with VD and a paternity suit filed against him (which he was declared innocent).
A spectator interfered with an Austrian skier during the 1968 Olympic slalom so that Killy could win the gold.
His nickname was 'Toutoune,' which is French for 'frisky.'
He acted in many lame-duck skiing movies after the Olympics.
He dropped out of school at 15 to join the French national ski team.

Why he might not be annoying:

He's only one of three skiers to win three alpine skiing gold medals in a single Olympics.
He helped organize the Albertville Winter Olympics in 1992.
He is considered one of the greatest skiers ever.
A ski trail in his hometown of Val d'Isere was named in his honor.
He was co-president of the organizing committee of the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville.
He had a good friendship with his ski maker Michel Arpin.
His wife Danielle Gaubert died of cancer when they were both 44.
His mother abandoned the family and he was forced into boarding school at 11.
