    After Pete Stark refused to debate him, he resorted to the juvenile tactic of hiring an actor to portray Stark in a mock debate.
    He was accused of breaking House rules when he posted a Vine video of him pressing the 'Nay' button during a vote on the House floor.
    Some Republicans called for he and Adam Schiff to resign after going on record saying he saw evidence of collusion between Donald Trump's 2016 campaign and Russia.
    He participated in the Democratic 'sit in' for gun reform legislation.
    He's an attorney by trade.

    He earned his J.D. from University of Maryland School of Law.
    He defeated controversial 20 term representative, Pete Stark to earn his seat in Congress.
    In an increasing partisan climate, he was one of the few Democrats willing to be interviewed on Fox News Channel.
    He doesn't shy away from firing back at his haters on Twitter.
    He earned a scholarship to play collegiate soccer.
