Hockey Player

The Resume

    (February 13, 1985- )
    Born in Chicago, Illinois
Drafted sixth overall by the New York Rangers in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft
Goaltender for the Phoenix Coyotes (2008-09), New York Islanders (2011-12), Winnipeg Jets (2012-14) and the Florida Panthers

Why he might be annoying:

Despite being considered a highly touted goaltender with the Rangers, he failed to live up to expectations.
He was deemed expendable after Henrik Lundqvist emerged as the Rangers' undisputed #1 goalie.
He was widely considered a bust prior to his trade to the Islanders.
Some hockey pundits initially questioned the Rangers' decision to draft him, given that they had drafted Dan Blackburn with a top ten pick three years prior.
He was the seventh goaltender used by the Islanders during the 2010-11 NHL season.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the first Cuban-American to play in the NHL.
He backstopped the United States to their first World Junior gold medal (2004).
He posted impressive numbers at the University of Michigan, which led to his high draft stock.
He established himself as an everyday player upon being traded to the Islanders.
He proved to be a cheap alternative as a backup to Rick DiPietro.
