    She was a Greek Royal Theater founding member.
    She suffered from cancer.
    She seemed to have stayed in the United States just long enough to boost her acting career.
    She sang opera in Greece.
    She was stranded in London during WW II, unable to go back to Greece, she emigrated to the United States.
    She won the 1943 Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'For Whom the Bell Tolls.'
    She did stage performances in Greece.
    Her husband was Greek actor Alex Minotis.
    Her grandson, Alexandros Antonopoulos, is also an actor.
    She pursued opera and theatre classes in Switzerland.
