Doctor

The Resume

    (February 27, 1945-October 22, 2015)
    Born in Mount Clemens, Michigan
    Beverly Hills dermatologist
Clients included Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor, Cher, Dolly Parton, Goldie Hawn, Carrie Fisher, Dustin Horrman, Linda Evans and Sharon Stone
Former employer of Michael Jackson's wife/baby mama Debbie Rowe
Nicknamed 'King of Lips' and 'Father of Botox'

Why he might be annoying:

He prescribed massive amounts of the painkiller Demerol to Michael Jackson.
In a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black, he called Conrad Murray and other doctors who prescribed addictive drugs to Jackson 'criminals.'
In a live interview on TMZ, he described Michael Jackson's genitals and claimed the singer was gay and had an affair with Klein's male office manager.
Elizabeth Taylor castigated him, commenting 'I thought doctors, like priests, took an oath of confidentiality. May God have mercy on his soul.'
He responded to tabloid rumors that he was the real father of Jackson's children with Debby Rowe with the cryptic comment, 'Not to the best of my knowledge. That is all I can tell you.'
He went to court to demand a role in the upbringing of Jackson's children. The request was immediately denied by the judge and described as 'quite bizarre' by a Jackson family lawyer.
He filed for bankruptcy, with debts over $8 million (2011).
He was a world-class name dropper.

Why he might not be annoying:

A region on the upper lip, the Glogau-Klein point, is named after him and a fellow doctor.
He was one of the founders of AmFAR (American Foundation for AIDS Research), along with Elizabeth Taylor, David Geffen and Dr. Mathilde Krim.
At an AIDS benefit, Elizabeth Taylor said, 'He's the most brilliant doctor in the world. He's supposed to be a dermatologist, but he's so much more.' (2003)
He claimed to have staged three drug interventions to try to get Michael Jackson off the anesthetic propofol.
During Dr. Conrad Murray's trial for manslaughter for causing Michael Jackson's death, his lawyers tried unsuccessfully to shift the focus from Murray's dubious propofol prescriptions to Klein's dubious Demerol prescriptions.
