Advocate for women's and children's rights in Iran

Why she might be annoying:

    She describes herself as stubborn.
Some observers felt her Nobel Prize was meant to rebuke George W. Bush as much as to honor her work.
After her win, the president of Iran said that while Nobel Prizes in the sciences are significant, the Nobel Peace Prize 'is not important and is political.'
She endorsed Iran's nuclear program: 'It has become a cause of national pride for an old nation with a glorious history.'

Why she might not be annoying:

After the Islamic revolution of 1979, conservative clerics forced her to resign from her position as a judge.
She drafted the Iranian statute outlawing physical abuse of children (2002).
She was on a hard-liners' hit list.
She is the first Muslim woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
