    (January 23, 1929-February 27, 2008)
    Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Birth name was Myron Sidney Kopelman
Color commentator for Pittsburgh Steelers radio broadcasts (1970-2004)
Catchphrases included 'Okel dokel,' 'Yoi,' 'Double yoi' and 'Triple yoi'
Created the 'Terrible Towel' when he asked fans to bring yellow dish towels to wave at a playoff game with the Baltimore Colts (1975)
He had a nasal, screechy voice.
Like Chris Berman, he gave nicknames to most of the players.
Several Steelers complained that the Terrible Towel made them look like a 'gimmick team.'
The terrible towel inspired tons of imitators.
He was the first football commentator inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.
When he retired, the Steelers downsized to a two-man broadcast team rather than replace him.
He donated trademark rights for the Terrible Towel to Alleghany Valley School, an institute caring for people with physical and mental disabilities, including Cope's autistic son, Daniel.
The school earned over $2 million from the Terrible Towel.
