Why he might be annoying:

He smokes.
He did not finish high school because he joined Def Leppard at 15.
He is a vegetarian.
He was charged with spousal abuse after dragging his wife into a rest room at a Los Angeles airport and slamming her head into a wall (1996).
His wife later divorced him.

Why he might not be annoying:

After losing his arm in an accident he regained his talent and contributed to the successful 'Hysteria' album.
Def Leppard planned to add a second drummer only to find that they really didn't need one.
The 'Hysteria' tour was a huge success.
He refuses to wear an prosthetic arm.
He posed topless in the pages of Rolling Stone (1992).
He is labelled 'The Thunder God.'
