    He correctly fought and won for the return of Elian Gonzalez to be reunited with his father (2000).
    He publicly fell down a flight of steps after giving an hour long speech at a graduation. He broke his arm and leg (October 21, 2004).
    He said that communism doesn't work when discussing Cuba's struggling economy with a reporter from 'The Atlantic' (September 2010).
