Why they might be annoying:

They spell their name with the first four letters in all caps and the last two letters in lowercase.
Typical of K-Pop bands, each member goes by a singular stage name.
    They endorsed Reebok.
They appear and sound like a Korean version of One Direction, but SHINee began two years before One Direction did.

Why they might not be annoying:

They recorded in Korean and in Japanese.
Lead vocalist Jonghyun committed suicide in December 2017.
By Spring 2023, all the surviving members have completed mandatory military service.
After Jonghyun’s death, the band continued as a four-member group.
Two months after Jonghyun’s suicide, they performed ‘From Now On’ in Japan, dedicating the song to their late bandmate.
Although there were four vocalists in that performance, the stage set included an extra microphone to represent Jonghyun.
