He met his wife in 1970, but did not marry her until 1996.
He attempted persuading the 'Viva Rock Vegas' film-makers that Fred should have a Yorkshire accent.
A coach and hours of old 'Flintstones' cartoons had to teach him to say 'Yabba-dabba-do' the correct way.
He made too big of a deal of a character's accent.
His left ear is pierced.
He thinks his weight is the reason for the roles he has received, believing if he lost weight he would no longer get good roles.
He lives in York with his wife, but keeps an apartment in London.
