Member of the terrorist group Jemaah Islamiyah
One of the perpetrators of the 2002 Bali bombings that killed 202 people and injured 209 more
Also involved in the bombings of 24 churches throughout Indonesia (December 24, 2000) and a Jakarta shopping mall (August 1, 2001)
Found guilty of the bombings and sentenced to death (August 7, 2003)
Wrote an autobiography titled ‘I Fight Terrorists’ (2004)
Executed by firing squad at the island prison of Nusa Kambangan

Why he might be annoying:

He was emotional as a child.
He named his own son Osama after Osama bin Laden.
He ordered the robbery of a gold jewelry shop in order to finance the Bali bombings.
His autobiography labeled Americans and their allies as ‘terrorists’.
It even contained a chapter instructing its readers to hack through unlawful means.
When he was led to court, he shouted, “Go to hell, Australia! Where are the Australians?'
He showed no remorse for his actions.

Why he might not be annoying:

He came from a poor family.
He was an excellent student at school.
Unlike Amrozi and Mukhlas, he had a university education.
He was a computer expert.
Most of the victims of the bombings were Australians even though the intended targets were Americans.
His autobiography was a bestseller in Indonesia.
His funeral was attended by transgender singer Dorce Gamalama.
