As an answer to the Atkins Diet, a Chet Atkins Diet was named after him.

He was a co-creator of the Nashville sound turning country music pop.
He produced records for Perry Como, Elvis Presley, Everly Brothers and Skeeter Davis
He won 14 Grammy's and 9 CMAs
His parents divorced when he was just 6.
He had asthma. He slept in a chair due to his asthma attacks.
He performed concerts to save schools.
The Chet Atkins Parkway in Georgia is named for him.
