Other than the toilet tissue she had no connection to the courthouse.
The same day of the incident she was also charged with the theft of $30 from a relative.
Her surname may have made her the 'butt' of humor before the incident and was a major factor in the situation becoming newsworthy.
She faced the possibility of more prison time for the incident due to prior theft convictions.
Why she might not be annoying
She claimed that the day she was confronted was her first and only incident of taking toilet tissue from the courthouse.
She was suspected of being a kleptomaniac, considering her criminal and behavior history.
Some people questioned a possible three year sentence for her toilet tissue theft misdemeanor as severe and not adequately addressing her behavioral issues.
Her incident set her up for more humor and embarrassment about her surname.
