Why he might be annoying:

    He and his followers believe that the global economy will collapse because of deficit spending and the counterculture.
    He dropped out of college (1948).
    He is an anglophobe, homophobe and anti-semetic.
    He advocated the quarantine of AIDS victims.
    He had a 'communist' phase when he was younger.
    He thought Henry Kissinger and Walter Mondale were Soviet agents.
    He claimed that Queen Elizabeth II is a drug dealer.
    He said: 'The Beatles had no genuine musical talent, but were a product shaped according to British Psychological Warfare Division specifications.'
    His opponents and even his followers have a hard time keeping up with his changing political views.
    He calls Zionism 'a hideous cult' and believes it's controlled by the British.
    He said there was a 'hard kernel of truth' in 'The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.'
    He visited Baghdad to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the Ba'ath Party (1975).
    He ran commercials accusing Jimmy Carter's advisors of genocide (1976).
    He blamed the Jonestown massacre on the U.S. Air Force.
    He said Dick Cheney 'is maybe not exactly Hitler, but in the sense he is playing the kind of role that the Nazis played in Germany.'
    He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for tax evasion, mail fraud and conspiracy (1989).
    Like Eugene V. Debs, he ran for president while in jail and lost (1996).
    He writes essays on economics even though he doesn't really have any qualifications to do so.
    His group impersonates reporters in phone calls.
    He claims he was used as a 'back channel' diplomat for negotiations with the Soviet Union but there is absolutely no proof of this.
    He claimed 'immoral' George Gershwin foisted jazz on the African American community with the help of drug-taking avante-garde artists.

    He holds the record for most presidential election attempts.
    He is a pacifist who opposed both Gulf Wars.
    He has fanatical followers all over the world.
    He is well-read.
    He always gets bad press.
    He wears his opinions on his sleave.
    He dislikes Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson for their 'lowest of the low-church cults.'
    He said: 'Bush is nothing but an idiot.'
    He called Wal-Mart 'an epidemic disease.'
    He is rarely mentioned without the prefix 'political extremist.'
    He was referenced on 'The Simpsons.'
    He is hilarious if you don't take anything he says seriously.
