Why he might be annoying:

    He wore #19, which was considered unorthodox for a goaltender.
    He was a journeyman goaltender in the European leagues.
    Despite not being a proven netminder in the NHL, he signed a lucrative deal with the Oilers, in one of many boneheaded moves which defined Peter Chiarelli 's tenure as general manager.
    His tenure as the Oilers starting netminder was plagued with inconsistency and eventually wound up being relegated to serving as Mike Smith's backup.
    He allowed four goals on his first four shot attempts in a game against the Vancouver Canucks (May 6, 2021).

Why he might not be annoying:

    At 6'7, he tied Ben Bishop as the tallest goaltender in NHL history.
    He was both the first Finnish player and goaltender selected in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
    He was a member of the SKA St. Petersburg team that won the Gagarin Cup (2014).
    His stellar play in the KHL prompted the Oilers to sign him to a contract with the hopes he could replicate it as a member of their team.
    He was a mainstay on the Finnish national team in international competition.
