Chief executive for oil and energy company BP (British Petroleum)
Infamous for his management of the company in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill that killed 11 people and wreaked havoc in of the Gulf of Mexico (April 20, 2010)

Why he might be annoying:

He and his company downplayed the situation, calling it 'relatively tiny.'
Ten days later, he called the oil spill an environmental disaster (May 27, 2010).
His company initially refused in cooperating with the US government on estimates of how much oil was spilling in the Gulf Mexico.
His company also refused in taking advice and solutions on cleaning up the oil and tar balls polluting the fragile ecosystem.
BP even declined a family's offer in donating cleaning supplies to the Audubon society in cleaning the wildlife.
He suffered the wrath of numerous Gulf Coast residents when he told a reporter 'I want my life back' in response to the massive disaster (May 30, 2010).
Before a congressional hearing, he said that his company would pledge that they would do everything to plug the well (June 17, 2010).
Two days after the hearing, however, he was spotted in a yacht race in Cowes near England.

He is married with two children.
He graduated from Aston University with a degree in geology.
In 2009, he was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Science from University of Edinburgh.
