He regularly threatened to move the Twins out of Minnesota.
He was worth over $1 billion, yet he continually tried to extort the state of Minnesota into paying him for a new stadium.
He was buddies with Bud Selig.
He had an uncanny resemblance to Mr. Burns of 'The Simpsons.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He replaced the extremely unpopular Calvin Griffith.
The Minnesota Twins have won two World Series during his tenure.
Despite having one of baseball's lowest payrolls, his teams have been able to compete with many large-market clubs.
