Critics complained that his sermon at the Royal Wedding was too long (clocking in at 14 minutes).
Some attendees of the Royal Wedding appeared to be unnerved and uncomfortable during his sermon.
TV viewers noticed he had a tablet computer (more specifically an Apple iPad) with a transcript of his sermon sitting on the altar during his speech (even though he rarely ever gave it a glance).
As an Episcopalian, he is a supporter of human and civil rights, as well as same-sex marriage and other social causes.
He called for racial and economic unity when he took the position of presiding Bishop in 2015.
He graduated from Hobart College with high honors, and earned a Master of Divinity degree from the Yale Divinity School.
He quoted Martin Luther King Jr. many times in his sermon at the Royal Wedding.
He vocally apologized for having made such a long sermon during the Royal Wedding.
His sermon was one of the more outstanding and memorable moments of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.
