Why he might be annoying:

He is three times divorced.
He goes by his middle name, George.
After leaving Pink Floyd, he sued them to prevent the remaining members from using the name.
Said of his fathers death, 'I think there are things in my story that have helped my creativity. Your father being killed, for instance, is one of the best things that could happen to a kid if he's going to write poetry or songs.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He was part of one of the most influential bands ever.
His father was killed during World War II in Anzio, Italy. His death proved to be a huge inspiration on the albums 'The Wall' and 'The Final Cut.'
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Pink Floyd.
His 1987 solo album, 'Radio K.A.O.S.' came 24th on Classic Rock Magazine's list of the 30 greatest concept albums of all time.
His son, Harry, tours with him as a keyboard player.
