    (May 8, 1920-November 7, 1991)
    Born in Kaarina, Finland
    Birth name was Touko Laaksonen
Known for his homoerotic images of masculine archetypes such as lumberjacks, soldiers, sailors and bikers
As a teen, he would masturbate with one hand while drawing with the other.
During World War II, he took advantage of the blackout in Helsinki to have sex in the street with fellow soldiers.
During his first art exhibition (1973), all but one of his drawings were stolen.
He controversially drew several erotic pictures of men in Nazi uniforms.
He and his partner Veli were together for 28 years until Veli's death from throat cancer (1981).
His work was exhibited at the Finnish Cultural Center in Paris (1999).
Asked if he was embarrassed that his art showed men having sex, he replied, 'I work very hard to make sure that the men I draw are proud men having happy sex.'
