Why E! Entertainment Television might be annoying:

The name of the channel consists of a letter and a punctuation mark.
It glorifies the triviality of celebrity lifestyles and ignores average people.
It gave jobs to Joan and Melissa Rivers.
It copied VH-1's obsession with pointless countdowns. In return, VH-1 took E!'s lead of centralizing its programming on the rich and famous.
It had actors re-enact transcripts from the Michael Jackson molestation trial.
It wrangled with NBC over the syndication of Saturday Night Live, leading fans to be deprived of SNL reruns for a while.

Why E! Entertainment Television might not be annoying:

It was home to cable television's version of the 'Howard Stern Show.'
It makes fun of D-list 'celebrities.'
It offers up-to-the-minute entertainment news and movie reviews.
It interviews stars on the red carpet before big award shows.
'E! True Hollywood Story' was nominated for several Emmy Awards.
It spun off the 'Style Network.'
