The Resume

    (1992- )
    Formed in San Diego
    Stands for Payable On Death
Albums include 'Satellite,' 'The Fundamental Elements Of Sound,' 'Brown,' 'Snuff the Punk,' and 'Live'
Tracks include 'Alive,' 'Youth of the Nation,' 'Southtown,' 'Hollywood' and 'Outkast'
Members: Sonny Sandoval (Vocalist), Marcos (Guitar), Traa (Bass) and Wuv (Drums)

Why they might be annoying:

Sonny and pretentious one namer Traa have dreadlocks.
They all have a lot of tattoos.
    They're Christian stoners.
They wear grunge and rasta clothes.
Some of their fans started sporting dreadlocks.
Their United States website may appear cultish.
Their fans like to refer to P.O.D. as 'Messenjah's of Jah' and call themselves 'Messenjah's,' 'Jah Jah Warriors' and 'Warrior Tribes.'
P.O.D. seems to support the so called 'Jah Warrior' craze.
The drummer goes by a cutesy pretentious single name of 'Wuv.'
During their first show, Sonny had his back to the audience because he was shy, but everyone found it humorous.
Traa left Wuv's uncle's funk band to join P.O.D.

Why they might not be annoying:

Many of their fans are Christians and feel that P.O.D.'s music helps them.
The band combines hardcore punk, alternative metal, hip-hop, and Latin flourishes with lyrics that subtly reflect its members Christian faith.
    Sonny and Wuv are cousins.
They play for all ages, but seem to attract hardcore teens.
They are good to their fans and try to give them something to relate to.
They've played at skate parks, county parks, coffeehouses, colleges, local youth centers, setting up their gear on driveways, flatbeds, beaches, and in gymnasiums and have been able to reach a lot of down-on-their-luck kids.
They average more than 150 shows per year.
Sonny lost his mother to cancer and his cousin wanted to get him involved with band to focus on something else.
If you stub your toe you can count on the members of their message boards to pray for you.
Band members are rumored to post on their boards.
